The Swedish Embassy in Pakistan has partially reopened its doors after two years of suspension, the embassy said. The Swedish Migration Agency has resumed some visa services in Pakistan.
According to the Swedish Migration Agency, Pakistanis who have applied for permits to study, work or visit family will be able to visit the embassy again from today.
According to the Migration Agency, these people will be able to visit the Swedish Embassy to provide their biometric data, have their passports checked or undergo an interview.
These services will also apply to those who want to stay in Sweden for more than 90 days.
However, there has been no change in the processing of short-stay Schengen visas, i.e. up to 90 days.
Applicants to Sweden used to travel to Ethiopia exclusively for visa interviews or processing.
In April 2023, the Swedish Embassy in Pakistan announced the ‘indefinite suspension of its activities due to security concerns’ through a statement on its website and social media.
