Islamabad – Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, while addressing a ceremony in Gujar Khan, strongly condemned the actions of Israel, labeling it as an illegitimate state spreading unrest across the region. He urged Islamic countries to unite in confronting Israeli aggression, which he described as growing like a cancer under the patronage of the United States.
Dr. Saleem emphasized that Israeli attacks, carried out with American support, are a wake-up call for the entire region. He recalled Israel’s past support to India during the Pakistan-India conflict, warning that such alliances are not new and should serve as a lesson to the Muslim world.
He asserted that the only effective response to Israeli hostilities is unity among Islamic nations, setting aside internal differences for the greater cause. Commenting on Pakistan’s recent diplomatic position regarding Iran, he stated that it reflects the sentiment of the entire Pakistani nation.
Highlighting the broader implications of unchecked Israeli actions, Dr. Saleem warned that failure to curb Israel’s influence could lead to widespread unrest across the Middle East and South Asia. He demanded that Muslim rulers formally sever diplomatic ties with Israel.
Dr. Saleem accused Israel of blatantly violating international laws and compared its actions to that of a “brute elephant.” He decried the atrocities being committed in Gaza as among the worst in human history, and condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iran as part of a broader campaign of destabilization.
He reiterated that Israel’s strength lies in its backing from the United States, and urged Muslim nations to recognize the real threat posed by this alliance. “If Israel is not stopped now, any country in the region could become its next target,” he warned.
Dr. Tariq Saleem concluded by appealing to all regional powers to rise above their differences and present a united front against Israeli expansionism, emphasizing that unity is the only path forward to ensure peace and justice.
