Islamabad – Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, congratulated the nation on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, calling It a reminder that the country is a divine blessing earned through immense sacrifices. Speaking at a meeting of Jamiat Ittehad ul Ulema Punjab, he said Pakistan embodies the vision of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam, achieved through unity, dedication, and an unwavering struggle for an independent ideological state.
Dr. Tariq Saleem stressed that Pakistan remains the hope of the Muslim Ummah, noting that the current challenge is to complete the mission for which the nation was created by aligning it with its founding ideology. He emphasized that the country’s strength lies in its Islamic identity and constitution, and called for national unity that transcends political differences to ensure security, stability, and prosperity.
He urged renewed commitment to the promises made at Pakistan’s creation and emphasized the need for ideological leadership. Dr. Tariq Saleem also reaffirmed solidarity with the people of Palestine and Kashmir, terming Kashmir an “unfinished agenda” of Pakistan’s independence.
