A heartbreaking incident

A heartbreaking incident that took place in the Mehrestan district of Iran’s border province of Sistan and Baluchestan has sent shockwaves through the region, where, according to sources, all of the men were living in Iran for work and were working and staying in a repair shop.

According to sources, five of the deceased have been identified as Dilshad, his son Naeem, and three teenagers, Jafar, Danish and Nasser. Dilshad was the owner of the auto workshop where the attackers entered at night, tied the victims’ hands and feet and brutally killed them by shooting them at close range.

This incident is not part of any ordinary crime but appears to be the result of a well-organized and well-planned terrorist attack. According to security sources, there is evidence of the involvement of Baloch separatist terrorist organizations in this bloody attack, which have been active in Iran for years due to their strong network and safe havens.

This is not the first time that Pakistani workers have been targeted on Iranian soil. Last January, several Pakistani workers were killed in an attack in Iran’s Sistan province. Following this incident, Pakistan targeted terrorists in Iran under Operation “Death to the Commander”. However, the recent incident is clear evidence that Iran has failed miserably in controlling these terrorist organizations.

Defense analysts say that this heartbreaking incident is not only a clear proof of the failure of security on Iranian soil, but also raises the question of whether Iran takes the protection of the lives and property of foreign residents, especially Pakistani workers, seriously.

Defense experts and human rights activists have strongly criticized the silence of the international community. They say that if, God forbid, the same incident had happened in Pakistan, international human rights activists and nationalist organizations would not have wasted a moment in criticizing state institutions.

A defense analyst raised a bitter question, “Is the blood of Pakistani workers so cheap that the world does not even dare to condemn their killers?” Doesn’t a country like Iran have any concern for the security of foreign workers?
