The armed forces stand united with the people,’ COAS General Asim Munir

Rawelpindi—A special session of the Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, reaffirmed the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to national defence, warning that any attempt by India to impose war would be met with a “decisive and full-force response.”

According to the military’s forum, any war efforts by India will be responded to effectively, and the aspirations of the Pakistani people will be honoured at all costs. General Munir expressed complete confidence in all formations and strategic forces.

The conference thoroughly reviewed the regional situation, with a particular focus on Pakistan-India tensions and broader regional security dynamics. The military leadership reiterated its firm resolve to uphold Pakistan’s sovereignty and praised the armed forces for their operational preparedness.

“The armed forces stand united with the people,” General Munir stated, stressing the need for constant vigilance on all fronts. He also voiced strong concern over Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The forum condemned the continued targeting of civilians by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC), calling such acts inhumane and escalatory. It vowed an appropriate and effective response to Indian provocations and expressed alarm over India’s attempts to engineer crises and alter the regional status quo through unilateral moves.

Referring to the 2019 Pulwama incident as a staged event aimed at changing the status of occupied Kashmir, participants also viewed the recent Pahalgam episode as a distraction to divert Pakistan’s focus from its western front and economic recovery efforts.

The forum also warned that India was attempting to undermine the Indus Waters Treaty and deprive Pakistan of its fundamental water rights. “Weaponising water is extremely dangerous,” they stated, noting that such actions would impact Pakistan’s 240 million population and fuel instability across South Asia.

Furthermore, the participants alleged that the Indian military and intelligence agencies were involved in orchestrating terrorism within Pakistan. “There is irrefutable evidence of Indian state-sponsored terrorism,” they said, terming such actions as blatant violations of international law and completely unacceptable.

Reiterating the commitment to national defence, the forum concluded that any attempt to initiate conflict would be decisively countered and that the will of the Pakistani people would be upheld without compromise.
