Like Saif-ul-Muluk, Lulosar Lake, Ratti Gali, Attabad Lake, these are the lakes that all Pakistanis are familiar with, but apart from them, there are remote high alpine lakes, be it Chitral, Swat, different districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Skardu, Kashmir.’ Apart from this, there are various dams in tribal areas such as Bannu, Quetta, Chakwal. There are reservoirs, lakes and dams. ‘No equipment is required for simple trekking. If you want to do the Margalla trail, 80 percent of the trails are where you do not need any special equipment. All you need is good shoes, trail shoes. Which are also called high ankle shoes.’ If you go to a place where there is a risk of cold, keep a jacket with you. “Like on the K2 track, you have to put cream cones under the shoes, which are made of iron. They just sink into the snow, you don’t slip. Then you need ropes, when you cross the passes, you can’t do it without ropes.”
