“Awam Pakistan Party” is the voice of the people of Pakistan

Secretary of Awam Pakistan Party (Sindh) and member of the (NOC) National Organizing Committee, Nasiruddin Mahmood has said that the government has created unrest in Sindh by announcing the project to construct six new canals on the Indus River. He said that the government is committing a criminal act to damage the unity of the nation. He said that any project without the consent of the people of Sindh will be tantamount to tearing apart national unity. Nasiruddin Mahmood has said that all the political parties in the ruling coalition are presenting meaningless interpretations instead of giving clear and unambiguous answers to the questions of the people of Sindh. He said that the “Awam Pakistan Party” is the voice of the people of Pakistan and it will strongly oppose and resist any action against the interests of all provinces including Sindh. He said that the current government is planning to dispossess the poor farmers under this project and give their lands to big industrial and commercial institutions under the corporate farming project, which will be opposed at all levels. He said that this will result in severe unemployment and poverty among the farmers as well. The Awam Pakistan Party will strongly oppose any such move. Nasiruddin Mahmood said that today, when the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan is already not good, it is not wise to start work on a controversial project in Sindh province without creating a consensus. He demanded that the work on the project to build six new canals be stopped immediately and the concerns of the people of Sindh be addressed. Nasiruddin Mahmood said that this controversial and unrepresentative parliament cannot do the work of creating a consensus, so this project should be postponed until the next elections. He said that the parliament that comes into existence as a result of the new elections should play its national role to create a national consensus.
