Districts where holiday has been declared

The Sindh government has announced a public holiday in 14 districts of the province on Wednesday, September 24, in connection with the upcoming local body by-elections.

The decision has been taken to facilitate voters and ensure smooth participation in the polling process. According to the notification, all government offices and institutions in the notified districts will remain closed on the day.

Districts where holiday has been declared

The public holiday will be observed in Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, and Matiari. In addition, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Badin, and Thatta will also observe a holiday. Furthermore, three districts of Karachi — Karachi West, Karachi East, and Keamari — have also been included in the notification.

The notification clearly states that the holiday is meant to facilitate voters in exercising their democratic right during the by-elections. Government offices, educational institutions, and other provincial departments in the mentioned districts will remain closed for the day.Sindh Public Holiday
