Islamabad —-15 May The central meeting of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan was held in Islamabad, which was chaired by Central President Hazrat Allama Dr. Abu-ul-Khair Muhammad Zubair. The meeting was specially attended by Central Vice President Ameer Shariat Tajdar Chora Sharif, Pir Syed Saadat Ali Shah Sajjada Nashin Chora Sharif, Central Secretary General Syed Safdar Shah Gilani, Provincial Vice President Allama Abrar Hussain Qadri Naqshbandi, and renowned religious and spiritual figure Khawaja Qutbuddin Sialvi (Sial Sharif).
The meeting discussed the country’s situation, Pakistan-India relations, and peace and stability in the region. The participants congratulated the Pakistan Armed Forces for their historic defeat of the eternal enemy India and expressed solidarity with the Pakistani Armed Forces on behalf of the entire nation.
The scholars and elders expressed complete agreement on the implementation of the system of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and further intensifying the struggle for unity of the Ummah to make the beloved homeland an Islamic and welfare state in the true sense.
The meeting also emphasized that a comprehensive action plan should be formulated to effectively mobilize the elders, scholars and active members of the society in the national mainstream.
The participants demanded that the Government of Pakistan formulate an effective policy for moral, diplomatic and humanitarian support for the oppressed Palestinians.
At the same time, an appeal was made for immediate steps at the government level to provide real relief to the people in the upcoming budget and reduce the burden of inflation.
At the end of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the security of the country, the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
