Biman Bangladesh Airlines has launched direct flights on the Dhaka–Karachi–Dhaka route.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has launched direct flights on the Dhaka–Karachi–Dhaka route.
Today, 29 January, the first flight from Dhaka, BG-341, departed for Karachi at 8:00 PM.
On this occasion, an inauguration ceremony was held at Hazrat Shahjalal International
Airport. The event was attended by Mr. Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Honorable Adviser, Ministry of
Civil Aviation and Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
Also present were His Excellency Mr. Imran Haider, High Commissioner of Pakistan to
Bangladesh and Air Vice Marshal Md. Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq, Chairman, Civil Aviation
Authority of Bangladesh. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman,
Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Senior officials from the Ministry,
Biman, Civil Aviation, and other organizations were also present.
Biman’s first flight will arrive in Karachi on 29 January at 11:00 PM local time. The return
flight, BG-342, will depart Karachi at 12:01 AM on 30 January and will arrive in Dhaka at 4:20
AM local time the same day. A total of 150 passengers traveled on the inaugural flight.
From 29 January, under the winter schedule, flights will operate every Thursday and
Saturday. Departures from Dhaka will be at 8:00 PM local time, arriving in Karachi at 11:00
PM. Departures from Karachi will be at 12:01 AM local time, arriving in Dhaka at 4:20 AM the
same day.
With the launch of this route, direct connectivity between Bangladesh and Pakistan has been
established. The route is expected to play a significant role in promoting trade and
commerce, expanding educational exchanges, and fostering cultural ties between the two
countries.
